M Diamond Ranch . : . Events and Updates

We like to say that the only herd on the M Diamond is our cattle because our guests come in small groups - usually. But with the addition of our new covered dining patio, rest rooms and catering kitchen, we can now accommodate large groups and ensure comfortable dining regardless of the weather. If you are an event planner, we will do everything we can to make your event a unique and memorable one. Please discuss all of your requests with us, and consider our recommendations which are based on experience and knowledge of our facilities and permits. All of our cooking and food service is done outside from a huge mesquite-fired grill. Experience has shown and our guests say that our Cowboy Cookout steak dinner is the best meal they've had in Sedona, and we strongly recommend sticking with that as the foundation of your evening. Please review the menu and understand that unless you specify otherwise, food is self-serve, buffet style, using paper goods and metal utensils.

To customize and make your event special we suggest adding any of the following:

Dinnerware and linen upgrades
Table flowers, other decorations, disposable cameras
Servers to bus food and dishes
Liquor/bar/bartenders (margarita machine)
Entertainment (pony rides, wagon rides, roping lessons, western bands, cowboy games, team penning, roller roper, target shooting, quick draw, hatchet toss, horse shoes, ranch jeep tours)

WHAT YOU AND YOUR GUESTS SHOULD KNOW ABOUT THE M DIAMOND

RUSTIC ATMOSPHERE - We are a working cattle ranch located down a dirt road in the Coconino National Forest. Outdoor areas are unpaved and guests will be comfortable in casual clothes and sturdy shoes. We have standard toilet facilities, but large groups and location of activities may require the addition of port-a-potties.
WESTERN HOSPITALITY - We always invite everyone living at the ranch to every event. So, if they choose, your guests will meet and talk with working cowboys. In return, we expect that all help and hands will be "fed and watered" exactly the same as your guests.
WESTERN SKIES - Our incredible starry skies are protected by requirements for minimal outdoor lighting. Additional lanterns are available by advance request for outdoor dining, and special activities may require additional temporary lighting for safety. We bid guests good night at 10 p.m. and all of the lights go off shortly after that so the wildlife that lives here and comes out only in the dark can do so.

We are always open to suggestions from those who know the group's needs best, so all you have to do is contact us for pricing and to discuss your ideas.

SPECIAL EVENTS

In the area of special events we have horses and wagons to hire for parades, weddings and corporate events. Here your imagination really is the limit. Some ideas come from a friend, Buck Davis, who after 50 years in the movie business helps us to create theme parties using western props and wagons-jail wagon, war wagon, buckboard, vis a vis, chuck wagon.

But you may have difficulty matching the requests we had for saddle horses for the bride and groom and the team and wagon for guests at a medieval-theme wedding, and our topper so far: a horse-drawn hearse driven by an undertaker delivering liquor to guests at a picnic lunch site!
